Considering going back to wearing diapers again. Just wanna cry right now .

Hey everyone
I’m Paige and I’m 25 years old. I’ve posted here before but its been quite some time. I officially came out to my family as a MtF transgender woman about a year and a half ago. Now I’ve I recently started hormone replacement therapy which seems to going good. However right now I feel like I’m about to cry, as I’m considering going back to wearing diapers at night again. Due to having to take 100mg of Spiroonolactone twice a day which is also a diuretic by the way, It has also caused sever night time nocturia. I wake about every two hours to go pee at night which in the morning I still find my self tired. I feel really shameful and embarrassed wearing diapers at night being that I know I can make to the toilet at night. Now I’ve tried cutting back liquid at night and it doesn’t seem to help so you can throw that out the window. As for daytime issues I seem to be peeing more often then I would like.

Daytimes pretty bad also I find my self using the restroom about every hour or more. Now in the past I’ve dealt with daytime incontinence and had to wear diapers which thank god I no longer have to, but I’m starting to notice small wet spots on my underwear and they usually smell like pee when take them off. I’m also considering on starting to use pads during the daytime. Does wearing some sort of protection sound strange for all of this. I just wanna cry.

Thanks for your time
-Paige

PS Can anyone recommend a good daytime pad.

TENA makes good incontinence pads, with a range for all amounts of dribbling. For night, I would choose a brief -- I wear Molicare Super Plus because I have no control whatsoever at night. If you're going out for a while, you could get a large sized liner pad from Abena, Tena, Attends, etc. I wear those for exercise and they are lightweight compared to a brief or pull up but can hold the same amount. Keep your chin up, you're certainly not the first person here who's gone through something like this, and you won't be the last. I went through something similar during the period where my urge incontinence got worse, and I found it harder and harder to get to the toilet before I got to the point where I would just wet with nearly no warning. Just remember you aren't alone, and there's plenty of people here if you need someone to talk to.

Hi Paige
I don't want you to cry because you are making me cry too. I understand you completely and it is okay if you need a diaper to help you. I need a diaper every single day and cannot live without them. If I don't carry diapers and panties in my purse I cannot function. I also need my baby powder and feminine wipes so I feel fresh, clean, safe, and secure. I did not know you were a transgender woman but I fully support your decision and wish you nothing but love, hope, and peace in your decision to change your gender. I wish you nothing but blessings and honor for your transition into womynhood and would be pleased if I could be there for your big day when you go for your surgery to make you a fully functioning womyn. I welcome you to the sisterhood of women and hope you are doing well.

@ladyerica @QuantumLocked thank you for both of your advice and kind support. As for my urge incontinence I have to say it's been going down hill. I'm finding myself constantly making trips to the bathroom every hour during the daytime which at this point I feel like a slave to the restroom thats if I make it. Know the times I've failed to make to the restroom, I try to hold it however once things start flowing I can't seem to stop it. However there's a alot times that I don't get any warning signs of needing to go and all of a sudden I just feel my self peeing. Because of this I'm know back to wearing diapers during the daytime. I'm trying the Tena Ultra small brief right know for during the daytime and so far it seems to be working.
