Thanks to my brother.....
Dec 08 2009 01:33 PM My youngest brother who is in his 40's and single, takes on 98% of the responsibility of our Mother's care. She now lives in an assisted living near him, he visits her 2x per day, manages all aspects of her care, finances, and everything else. Our Mother suffers from depression and vascular dementia and is not often very pleasant. She is so lucky to have him- I hope in some way she realizes it. |

Dec 10 2009 02:49 PM No- He would certainly benefit from it, I think he does what he does because he's just a good person. My other brother and myself are certainly thankful. |

Dec 23 2009 09:32 PM I truely understand,as its not easy, especially when the person doesnt really want to cooperate.I'm very fortunate with my Mother.I visit her every morning, and she always greets me with a smile, and I get a hug and kiss before I go |

RE: Thanks to my brother.....
Jan 21 2010 08:47 AM I wish I'd known about sites like this prior to my mothers passing. I didn't receive much help from my brother. It was difficult. Although this isn't face to face, you just know you're not the only one. It's somehow comforting. I now assist my partner in caring for an elderly woman who is also incontinent. Products are becoming costly. So we are in search for alternatives and solutions like online coupons. |
