RE: what does everybody uses for diaper rash
Feb 04 2010 04:40 PM I have personally use Wal-Mart brand of diaper rash I have personally use Wal-Mart brand of diaper rash cream. It is cheaper than Desitin and has the same active ingredient in it. Because I wear 24/7 I use it almost at every change and it has kept me from getting a rash. Where I am at a 4oz tube cost $1.62 compared to $4 or $5 for Desitin. |

RE: what does everybody uses for diaper rash
Feb 05 2010 12:43 PM I shave twice a week, change frequently, using soap and water, and use a zinc oxide cream, Desitin usually, but not if another brand is cheaper, and cornstarch powder. When a rash strikes, I use a jock itch preparation, such as ZeasorbAF. |

RE: what does everybody uses for diaper rash
May 04 2010 04:06 AM I use desitin as well but only when needed, i change before saturation and clean often. One must be careful with most diaper rash creams and the leg gatherings on the diapers we wear, i have found that the cream will ruin the bond with the elastic and back sheet, that is instant and pain full chafing |

May 16 2010 11:28 AM If your pee is alkaline e.g. if you drink orange juice, you might have a dermatophyte. A jock itch cream would be a good idea. If really really inflamed maybe even cort-aid. Top it off with a protectant, like Desitin to protect the skin against further insult, although I think Balmax smells better |

RE: what does everybody uses for diaper rash
Mar 19 2011 11:37 PM Greetings From The Earl H. camp, The product of choice is Dr. Beaudroux Butt Paste and with every diaper change when rash isn't around I thorougly cover my diaperzone with Johnson's Baby Powder to keep wetness away and help with any telltale odors from coffee and the like. For a mild rash that you might get occationally when treated right away you can use Gold Bond's Baby Powder. You can also use this with every diaper change but the price tag is a bit more than the Johnson's. Prompt attention to a diaper rash is the key to curing them as well as changing wet and/or soiled diapers at the first available moment. |

Mar 21 2011 06:13 PM I find Desitin to be as effective as everyone else, but the telltale odor is so overwhelming for me that I only use it when I first start to get redness - and then I use it sparingly. I, too, like Boudreauxs Butt Paste for more regular use and Vusion Ointment (presription) when the rash starts getting worse. As I mentioned in another post, the $.99 store sells Butt Aid, which feels and has the same atcive ingredients as Butt Paste (gotta love the name ...LOL). Best plan - avoid rashes all together by taking the right precautions of which we are all aware. |

Mar 21 2011 10:10 PM Eucerin Original Creme Lotion has worked for me for 5 weeks. Am experiencing leaks and it is either too much creme in crotch or too large underware. Will try medium size tomorrow if I can find it at Wallmart, cvs or Walgreen. |

Mar 25 2011 08:55 AM I use corn starch baby powder with every chang, By doing so it helps keep the diaper comfortable to wear and helps keep my skin dry. I haven't had diaper rash for years. I swear by Johnson & Johnson Baby powder good luck. |
