How Do You Manage At Work?
Nov 10 2011 10:34 AM There was a terrific article posted, "Managing Bladder Leakage at Work" which addresses concerns about incontinence in the workplace. If you'd like, take a read and come back to share with us how you manage your incontinence while at work. Have you discussed your condition in confidence with a supervisor or co-worker? Do you avoid certain beverages or foods? Are you able to sit near an exit or a bathroom? Which Depend® Brand product do you choose to wear if you know you will have a lengthy schedule or long shift? RE: How Do You Manage At Work?
Nov 23 2011 02:02 PM I use a full diposable for work and have like 3 or 4 changes a day at work. I am fortunate that i have a private office that allows me the opportunity to change in private. I have told a number of coworkers about my spina bifida and a few that I am incontinent. I tell them from a matter of fact medical approach and leave it at that. I don't avoid any certain beverage because of this as I have no control so it wouldn't matter what I consume. For work I wear the full adult diaper (several brands are cool with me) and a baby diaper soaker (once again brands don't matter as long as they have inner leak guards). Without the baby diaper, i would be scared to go to work as I used to have a lot of leaks in just adult diapers (especially the old Ambeeze). Travel to our field offices sucks for me as i have to get my product to the restroom before changing and to successfully dispose of the used one without drawing attention to myself. |

RE: How Do You Manage At Work?
Feb 19 2012 03:19 PM Stick to a REGULAR toilet schedule, don't let it reach the point of not being able to hold it, that is my routine. I know for others this may not be an option in the type of job you do, but it should be within your rights to have to go to the bathroom more then the average person. Work is the place I am most diligent about scheduling, feel like a bit of a slave to the bathroom, but better then the concequences. Also wear protection, even if it is just a pad or disp. underwear, just in case, better safe then sorry! Puffy |
