Hi Pat,

What kind of incontinence product are you using at the moment? If you are having an issue with leakage, you can use the Live Help: Chat Online or Call 1-877-413-3736. Our Consumer Services representatives are very familiar with our products and can help you choose the one that will work best for your particular circumstances. The Live Help link is located at the right at the very top next to the Search window.

Some of the other members may also be able to offer suggestions on options that may save you money.

I've already talked to the depends people........ They said it's not the brief that's the problem.......... I'm using the maximum protection brief though.................. So it can only mean one thing if the brief tis good, I"M DOING SOMETHING WRONG!
I've NOT had a day that i've not had to wash clothes at all this past week. with one or two or a single item at a time......... I've not many pairs of pants that fit me as i've gained some weight with trying to quit smoking....... And i'm not allowed no extra money for no more jeans.....................................................

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. in my oppinion and i think many others on here depend is a light wight get you out of a jam option even the maxium protection. I only use diapers at night but depend is not suited for that most of the time i may as well wore nothing cause my bed will be just as wet with depend. any way i have heard of sticking baby diapers in the depend but that puts you up there with higher quaulity diapers in price so save the hassle and try some thing different. sorry to all whom may be offended about my oppinion of depend i have had nothing good come of them unless you call a wett bed and wet pants good.

Hello Princess Pat,
You might try adding a folded in three washcloth or a towel folded likewise if purchasing a box of Huggies Overnites size 6 is out of your budget.
You will have a few extra pieces of laundry but with a bit of careful placement inside your Depend Maximums you should be drier and happier.

To help on the cost of product comparisons with the help from a company called "XP" I offer the following "prices only" to honor with site guidelines:
All are on size large

Brand "M" $1.56 each pkg of 14
Brand "Dry" $1.75 each pkg of 18
Brand "X +" $1.74 each pkg of 12

The above does not include shipping costs

In store Depend Maximum on average $1.11 each pkg of 18 + tax
In store Huggies Overnites size 6 on average $0.31 each pkg of 64 + tax

$1.11 + $0.31 = $1.42 which is cheaper than the others when you add on the shipping charges that most folks will incur not having a outlet near by.

In fairness the brands from "XP" do get a bit less expensive when purchased by the case but the savings still are not enough to cover the shipping charges when compared to the Maximum with the "6" as a insert purchased locally in your area
Do try the towel add on if you are at loss for adding a "6" as this will help you until you may add the "6" insert.
All The Best,
Earl H.

I completely agreed with you guys! I have yet to find a diaper that will keep me dry if I have a night accident especially if sleeping on my side. What do other side sleepers do? It is really depressing to me to suffer the indignity of even wearing a diaper to bed then to still have to deal with wet sheets. Not fair to husband either.

Hey Earl, That XP place doesn't charge shipping if you buy their products by the case and go with the 5-7 day ground shipping. Just wanted to let you know.

Take care

The depend brief is just not suitable for overnight for me. Not much good in the day either if you have full accidents. I wear molicare super plus at night, with a good plastic panty, and usually am dry. If I do sleep on my side the inside of the plastic pants may be wet, but the bed stays dry. Even if the cost of the briefs themselves is more by buying molicare, it is well worth it in terms of no leaks, no laundry, no smell, and no embarrassment. Why go through the hassle of shoving a baby diaper inside a brief? Just buy a quality product that does what you need.

Depends used to have boost pads which extended the use of the diaper, but alas they did away with those, you can use a pad like the depend guards or poise pads (or another equivalent that can't be posted here but is 'a net' backwards take out the space) and depending on if you want to save the trouble of changing the whole brief or just the pad, you can either leave it as is and check it, or slash it and change when the entire brief has gotten soaked, I definitely recommend the slashing at night though as to avoid leaking.

Re: A better way to keep clothing dry?

I have taken care of my elderly mother for several years. It seems to me that about a year and a half ago, the depends products changed. The pull up depends are much thinner than they were a few years back. Ever since the thickness of the depends changed, my mom's clothes are frequently wet, especially overnight (this was not always the case). I know that you advertise that the new design is more comfortable and so on and so on, but I personally feel that this in some way was a "cut-back" on the material that actually is used for the depends. It does not absorb. The "new" depends may be wonderful for those who don't need good absorption, but for the elderly who wet often and heavily, the product just is not good. Families should not have to line depends with baby diapers and wash cloths to stay dry.
The depends use to work, but apparently cost cutting has impacted the quality of this product. With so many elderly on fixed incomes, it is a shame that such an expensive product is inferior. I personally do not purchase this brand for my mother anymore. It use to be "better" than the cheaper brands, but no longer. I can spend considerable less and have the same or better results.
I hope that your designers take a look at even the small sampling of posts on this website, including mine, as we are all saying the same thing. It is not the people, it is the product. Go back to your old thicker more absorbing product or at least start marketing a thicker depends in your line for those more worried about staying dry than than having thin, sleek depends. At $14.00 or more a package, purchasers should not have to line your product with other items to stop having wet clothes..

deny, I agree with you on the fact that most people do not want so much form or fashion over FUNCTION... The product has to do a good job for what it was intended for, and the Max fails at doing that, day or night for a full void, thus the reason I don't use them. I will take a thicker, more absorbant diaper any day of the week, for the simple reason that I can count on it where ever I am to look after the problem it is there to look after, and not leak and embarass me in public, been there, done that, and not willing to go try it again! I agree Puffy, an incontinence product that looks and feels like underwear is useless if it acts like underwear and leaks.
