Depends Adjustable Underwear help?

Jan 17 2012 02:04 PM

Hello,

This may sound like a stupid question, but how exactly do you put on the adjustables without taking your clothes off? It says to tear the perforated sides or something of that nature, but when I tore mine, it tore the waistband. I must have done something wrong. Where do you tear?

Thanks!

Any term "Underwear" will require you to remove your clothes to put on. The tear the perforated sides is when you want to remove it.

Normally I start my day out with a pull-up and when it is time to change I tear the perforated waistband to remove. I then will use briefs with tabs, so I do not have to get undressed. I can not imagine undressing in a public bathroom to change a pull-up. Some folks here do though and have success.

The adjustable underwear can be put on while clothes remain on. If you loosen the top tabs, you will see a fine micro perforation going down the side. Pull gently at the seam and the underware will separate. This will allow the "tape" tabs to be refastened when putting it on. This is not the "tear away" side that would be used for a messy accident. I have changed alot of these, including during clinical rotations for residents when I was in nursing school. Good luck - just remember to look closely at the underwear before pulling at the sides.
