QESTION!
Aug 08 2010 04:07 AM I'm new here and been wearing depends the brief type for 2 years and 30 y/o now my question is for those who wear them is it easier to put them on standing up or laying down? I normally put them on standing up and tapes always seem to break. I do wear right size the extra large ones any suggestions on how to fix prob or laying down easier then standing up? |

Aug 12 2010 06:17 PM Maybe try doing the incontinent clean up while lying down on an under pad,and then the actual diaper application in the seated position ie.chair or wheelchair. That works pretty much the best for me but it all depends.I just find the fit to be better that way,and positioning the bottom tabs upward is good to.Ive been using full incontinence briefs for over 10 years for my bladder and bowel care and.assistance by a care giver helps to.Well I hope this helps. |

Aug 26 2010 07:31 PM I need full time assistance now. When I still had some mobility. I was able to lay on a bed pad. Then roll on and off the brief to change and clean up. |

RE: QESTION!
Oct 06 2010 08:55 PM I am not signing up to this website for myself. I do in home care for an elderly woman who is not able to get on a computer anymore do to a stroke. She has in the past wore a depends pull up but they are entirely to small. She has been wearing an X_Large and they are to small as I stated. I wondering why your company doesn't make a bigger size then the x-large. You need to make an xx-larger and an xxx-large there are people out there that are larger then an x-large. So I am asking your company to please condsider making a bigger size. Sincerely Karen S. LyBarger |

Oct 07 2010 06:22 AM Karen - It may be best to start a new topic titled to relate to your question. That way others will be more encouraged to read and comment on your specific concern.....just a thought. |

RE: QESTION!
Oct 07 2010 02:30 PM I found that if I lay down then sit up that I have made them too snug. So bending and sitting makes the tapes break easier. So when I put a brief on I sit then tape the one side at the top, stand up and then fasten the other side and then do the bottom tapes. This has helped me not break so many tapes. In public bathrooms since there is no seat to sit on, I stand and place it against the side of the stall and lean back and then fasten them. |

Nov 10 2010 07:08 PM the adjustables go on like underwear so if u r able u can put them on like underwear then tear the tabs at the side where the lines are and adjust them to your need. Just an idea. |

Nov 11 2010 06:28 PM i've found it easiest to put my diapers on standing up, and I keep a roll of duck tape on my dresser. Duck tape is good for uncooperative tabs. |

RE: different question
Nov 14 2010 02:10 PM Though I feel I am middle aged (mid forties), I became incontinent a few years ago. It was very hard to buy products at the store. I was afraid I would run into someone I knew. I just didn't want everyone knowing my business. So I have turned to buying over the internet and getting it shipped straight to my home. |
