Question about booster pads

Feb 06 2012 01:22 PM

I was wondering what could be used for a booster pad? I know Depend's used to make them but they do not anymore. I was wondering what could be used in it's place?

I find the depends guards will work, as will poise pads or particularly any pad, depending on if you want to change the pad or just wait until the garment is soaked you can choose to slash the back of the plastic on the pad if you want it to soak into your other undergarment or not. If you choose to not slash it you can remove that separate from the garment later in the day and either add another pad or just use your initial garment depending on how much you expect you will have voided. If you slash the back you can go longer without changing which makes this work well for overnight or if you don't wish to change and don't mind the added bulk, this works especially well with a heavier pad and the depends protection with tabs for giving you about 6-8 hours worth of protection.

I use a Tena Ultimate Pad that I cut a slit down the center on the back. This definitely extends the time needed for a change. I've tried baby diapers as a stuffer, but they seemed not to stay in place, like a pad with adhesive. Many here have had success with a variety of booster pads. I am sure others will offer advice as well.

I use Tena overnight pads with the backing cut as well. I also have found that the Tena Ultimate pad works great too.

Good luck!
