Baby Diapers as Liners

I have been doing some research and have found it that it seems that baby diapers are a legitimate product to use as a liner inside adult incontinence products. Please tell me if I am wrong but to illustrate a point I will use the comments of one user in particular Earl H, in one post he says that his "laps around the diaper aisle would include a lap around the baby aisle for my "boosters" that back then would be the Pampers toddler diapers in the white/purple box. " If I recall this particular box goes back to the late 70's when I was a baby. So from just this it seems that baby diapers have been used for this other purpose since at least the late 70's or early 80's. So my question is my observations right and what is that made some of you all decide to use baby diapers for this purpose. I know for 17 years I have used pampers and luvs as pads for light urinary incontinence.
