To Wear Diapers or Not To Wear Diapers.....

I have OAB and am on medication. I have tried several different medications and have now been on one that seems to work best for me. It's Vesicare. Despite being on the medication, I still have occassional accidents at night so I do wear a diaper to bed every night just to be safe. My prolem though is daytime. I go through dry periods for months on end when I don't need to wear daytime diapers and then I find that my bladder gets "active" again and I need to wear daytime diapers to avoid having accidents. I am now in one of those active phases and have been wearing diapers 24/7 for the past few weeks including the entire time I was in the hospital for a recent procedure. I find it hard guessing whether I need to wear diapers or not on a given day and it's a lot of strees. Yet wearing 24/7 is a lot of stress too.\n\nDo other people who have OAB and are on medication find they have dry periods and wet periods and that their bladder is not consistent even with the medication? Because I work and the type of job I have, I find it hard to wear diapers 24/7. I do not find them comfortable to sit in all day - - my bottom gets sore and uncomfortable. I generally wear Tena ultra during the day. I need a slimline clothlike diaper that will stay quiet. I tried Abena but it was just too much diaper for me under my suit pants. I'm not thrilled with the quality of Tena these days, but it's the best I have found. I am open to suggestions. I wear a much thicker diaper at night and that's fine, but they're too thick to wear during the day under my suit.\n\nI would like to hear from people as to what OAB medication they are on and how they find it working for them. I am not opposed to asking my doctor to change my medication. I'd also like to know if wet periods/dry periods are common even on medication.\n\nI would also like to know what thin clothlike daytime diaper people find most effective. I should mention that I generally used a booster pad inside my diaper to make it more absorbent and that helps a lot.\n\nThanks.
